Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED: Most positions require a minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent.
Preferred Education and Training:
Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential: This credential is specifically focused on early childhood education and is highly regarded in the field.
Early Childhood Education (ECE) Courses: Completion of courses in early childhood education, child development, or related fields is often preferred.
CPR and First Aid Certification: Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) techniques is important for ensuring the safety of infants.
Experience with Infants: Previous experience working with infants, whether in a daycare, preschool, or babysitting setting, is valuable.
Specialized Training: Training in areas such as handling infants, diapering, feeding, and comforting techniques can be advantageous.

Patience: Working with infants requires a high level of patience and understanding.
Communication: Effective communication skills, both with infants and parents, are essential.
