Middle School- Head Baseball Coach-LFMS

MS-Head Baseball Coach- QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of T-4 to T-7 certification from the Georgia Professional Standards Commission Must be a certified teacher on staff with the Liberty County School System Knowledge of the technical aspects of baseball Experience coaching and playing baseball preferred Knowledge of middle school governing rules and regulations Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find acceptable and appropriate RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee all aspects of a successful middle school Baseball program The Middle School Head Baseball Coach is responsible for teaching the fundamentals of the game, supervising, and leading the student athletes Communicate effectively with the students, parents, and administrators regarding practice times, games schedule, and any last minute changes Positive Role model Oversee logistics and travel, as supervised by the Athletic Director.
Develop a regular practice schedule and organize practice time to provide team development Follow established procedures in the event of an athlete's injury Enforce student discipline during athletic contests, to include encouraging sportsmanlike conduct during athletic participation Works effectively with high school level coaches to coordinate a feeder program for baseball Abide by all rules and regulations to run the baseball program and feeder program Other duties as assigned by the Superintenedent of Schools and/or Principal A completed online application must include the following: Complete online application Cover letter to include interest Resume/CV (optional)
