Overview
Savannah Country Club is home to a Donald Ross designed championship golf course.
The 6715-yard, 18-hole, par 71 course boasts picturesque fairways and small well bunkered greens that offers an experience that is enjoyable yet challenging.
In addition to golf, we offer tennis, pickleball, pool, dining, and many social activities.
Experience Required
We are looking for a career-minded individual with intent to work and grow within the golf business.
Applicants must have some customer service experience.
PGA Membership is not required but is a plus.
Essential Responsibilities
Assist Golf Professional with numerous activities relating to the management and operation of the club’s golf program.
Assists Golf Professional in instructing and with merchandising, on-course, golf car and personnel management.
Maintains Golf Pro Shop inventory control.
Assists members by providing and interpreting golf policies, rules, and regulations.
Conducts golf clinics.
Maintains handicap records.
Oversees Pro Shop inventory and periodically conducts physical counts of merchandise, including scorecards, tees, matches, pencils, ball marks, golf car tags and tee sheets.
Maintains and inventories all stock items necessary for in-house club repair.
Assumes Golf Professional’s duties in his absence.
Manages the daily opening and closing of golf operations.
Assists in the coordination of tournaments and special events.
Coordinates junior golf activities.
Provides golf instruction.
Keeps updated on times needed for golf clinics and group lessons.
Managers USGA handicap system for members
Attends staff meetings.
Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Golf Professional.
